As a Meter Reader, you will be responsible for collecting data from gas, electricity, and water meters for both commercial and residential properties. You will update meter reads accurately throughout the day on your handheld device, entering details at each location and providing excellent customer service.
What we offer:
* £12.61 - £13.43 per hour basic pay (weekly payment)
* Weekly hours: 40-45 hours with flexible start and finish times, Monday - Friday (occasionally Saturday), between 8 am - 8 pm
* Average annual earnings: £27,000 to £31,000
* Bonus scheme with earnings up to £1000 monthly
* Overtime rates (£16 - £18) at manager’s discretion

* No previous experience required

Requirements:
* Full UK Driving Licence (minimum 1 year, max 3 points, no DR offences; in some London areas, driving license may not be required)
* Physically fit, able to bend in tight spaces, lift, kneel, climb stairs, crouch, and walk 6-7 miles daily
* Willing to work in all weather conditions
* Clear DBS check (no unspent criminal convictions)
* Credit report check (no county court judgments, IVA, debt relief orders in last 6 years)
* 5 years employment history
* Previous customer service experience (preferred but not essential)
Responsibilities:
* Retrieving data from domestic, commercial, and industrial meters for Water, Gas, and Electricity; full training provided
* Visual inspections of metering equipment
* Charge Point Surveys
* Drive and work independently
* Maintain a friendly and professional approach
* Adhere to health and safety guidelines
