We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer based in our Hingham, MA location.
Position Overview
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our dynamic engineering team, contributing to the development of automatic transfer switches. Bringing to bear your technical expertise and creativity, you will be responsible for crafting, analyzing, and optimizing mechanical components to meet project specifications and industry standards.
Responsibilities
* Apply CAD to develop detailed drawings for enclosures and copper bussing to UL 1008 code.
* Build and maintain BOMs using our product configurators (COMPAS) & ERP (SAP).
* Research internal libraries to help support upgrades to legacy equipment.
* Support the operations & field service team with engineering-related questions.
* Read and interpret electrical one-line diagrams to develop mechanical solutions.
* Maintain meticulous records of designs, BOMs, & procedures.
* Keep up to date with the latest technologies and methodologies in mechanical engineering and manufacturing to bring innovative solutions to the team.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications
* A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
* Experience with CAD software required: AutoCAD, Creo, Inventor
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office
* Ability to interpret physical drawings and system schematic one-line diagrams
* Interpersonal skills that allow for goal accomplishment when working with different business teams
* Proven organizational skills, including attention to detail, time management, and problem‑solving skills
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
* Lean manufacturing experience
* Experience working with a fabrication shop
* Knowledge of UL codes and National Electric Code

The pay range for this position is $92,000 – $124,000 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
