I am seeking a Document Controller to join one of the UK’s leading building services engineering specialists, based in their Northampton office near Queens Park. With a long-established history and a reputation as a major M&E contractor, the organisation is recognised as a top performer across the UK and is known for its commitment to quality, reliability and technical excellence.
The company delivers projects across a wide range of sectors, including commercial, hotels, healthcare, student accommodation, pharmaceuticals and research facilities, education, residential housing and sports and leisure.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The Document Controller will be responsible for maintaining accurate, well-organised records, ensuring all drawings, specifications, correspondence and technical documents are controlled, tracked and distributed in line with project requirements.
The role ensures that information flows efficiently and that all stakeholders have access to the latest approved documents. Duties typically include updating document registers, managing approvals and revisions, monitoring compliance with document control procedures and supporting teams with retrieval, formatting and submission of information.
The position requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail and confidence working with document management systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting project delivery, maintaining quality standards and enabling smooth communication across the project team.
