Job title: 2nd Line Engineer
Overview
You provide a crucial role in core services, conducting fault rectification of incidents and supporting problem management, CSI, and CR work.
Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain servers and virtual machines to ensure high availability and performance, including the creation and deployment of new equipment.
* Update and certify network equipment.
* Provide expert‑level support to end‑users, resolving complex issues and offering training on new systems or processes.
* Implement security best practices and respond to security incidents to protect the infrastructure.
* Work closely with 3rd line and Apps team to troubleshoot complex issues and support core services.
* Resolve SD+ tickets in a timely manner to meet SLA/KPI.
* Perform periodic maintenance and record it in SD+.
* Apply patches using WSUS and SCCM to all domains, ensuring Microsoft and security updates are applied.
* Create and maintain documentation of system configuration changes and accurately record all work.
* Assist in configuring, installing, and deploying infrastructure components, including virtual machines and UADs.
* Engage in infrastructure‑related projects, contributing to implementation, build, and testing phases.

Pay and Benefits
Pay Range: £36,900.00 – £46,100.00
