Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist/Clinical Team Leader
We have an exciting opportunity for a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to work as a Clinical Team Leader in the Adult Community Service across Conwy and Denbighshire.
The role involves sessions as a Team Leader (2 sessions per week) and as a Highly Specialist Speech & Language Therapist (8 sessions per week). The Team Leader will manage operational aspects and support staff, while the clinical role involves managing a caseload and contributing to service development.
The adult community service provides assessment and treatment for patients with conditions such as Parkinson’s Disease, dementia, stroke, and MND, in domiciliary, outpatient, and community hospital settings. The team also offers training to nurses and carers and participates in MDT clinics.
Main duties of the job
* Line management of SLT staff within the adult services
* Supporting team development through coaching and facilitative skills
* Collaborating with clinical leads to ensure service integration
* Providing leadership and strategic oversight for service areas
* Innovative response to service pressures and prioritization
* Supervision and development of SLT colleagues and other professionals
Proficiency in Welsh is desirable; applications in Welsh or English are equally welcome.

Qualifications and Experience
* Recognized qualification in SLT, HCPC registration, and postgraduate study at Masters level
* Significant clinical experience, leadership, and service development experience
Skills
* Interpersonal, negotiation, and clinical reasoning skills
* Knowledge of clinical governance, health legislation, and service data reporting
