Lead Mechanical Technician (LMech) Role Overview We are seeking an experienced and technically skilled Lead Mechanical Technician to oversee the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of planned and reactive maintenance within a critical environment. This hands-on supervisory role combines leadership with active engineering responsibilities, including managing on-site mechanical operations, supervising internal technicians and specialist subcontractors, participating in a shift rota, and supporting site leadership to maintain the highest standards of safety, reliability, and technical performance. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership Act as Deputy to the Technical Services Supervisor (TSS) when required Participate in emergency escalation procedures and provide out-of-hours technical support Ensure full compliance with Safe Systems of Work, including RAMS, LOTO, and Permit-to-Work processes Maintain required site certifications and operate as Authorised Person (AP) where appointed Promote a strong culture of safety, professionalism, and technical excellence Maintenance & Engineering Oversee and undertake routine, reactive, and emergency maintenance of mechanical and critical infrastructure systems Diagnose, rectify, and escalate mechanical faults to minimise operational impact Coordinate maintenance activities with the Helpdesk/DigiHub and liaise with end users for access Ensure all works, self-deliver...
