JOB SUMMARY: The role of Receptionist exists to ensure that all guests are greeted with professionalism and sincerity, dealing with requests, complaints, the checkout process, billing and a final memory on finishing their stay of a 4* experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
* To ensure the correct welcoming and registration of all guests according to hotel policies and legal requirements.
* Operating switchboard, internal and external calls, as laid down in the SOP manual.
* To complete daily reception duties, as per morning and afternoon check lists, including checking in, checking out, balancing all revenue posted, credit procedures, night audits and ensuring guest information is kept up to date and is recorded and secure.
* To treat all internal and external customers in a polite and courteous manner at all times.
* To liaise with housekeeping and hotel manager in regards to room readiness and maintenance issues.
* Ensuring security in the Reception area is adhered to for the correct procedure for handling floats and keys, reporting any discrepancies to the Reception manager/ Senior receptionist.
* Be aware of availability and take reservations.
* To give full co-operation to any customer requiring assistance in a prompt, caring and helpful manner.

* To input restaurant bookings into restaurant bookings software, ensuring accurate information is input.
* To take responsibility for own personal development by attending training sessions.
* To assist the F and B team in maintaining regular and effective communication within the team.
* To report all maintenance requirements and hazards in the work place to the Supervisor, Manager or Maintenance Team.
* To comply with statutory and legal requirements for fire, health and safety, hygiene, licensing and employment.
* Any other reasonable request / appraisal target, as required by Senior Management.
