As a member of the Practice Education Team, your role will be to support Student Nurses within the Trust and contribute to the development and maintenance of quality assured placements for the full range of students undertaking educational training within the healthcare community.
You Will
1. Contribute at a local, regional, and national level to quality assurance initiatives relating to practice learning.
2. Act as a conduit between the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and placement providers within NHS and non-NHS organizations.
3. Influence the preparation and delivery of educational programmes that impact the quality of practice learning and student progression in practice.
HDFT is a key provider of pre-registration nurse education across North and West Yorkshire and the North East. This role is pivotal in the development of the future nursing workforce.
The key functions of the Practice Education Team are to:
1. Support Practice-based Assessors and Supervisors to ensure that student learning opportunities are explored and utilized.
2. Monitor the quality of practice learning experiences for pre-registration healthcare students.
3. Support the development of students by participating in clinically based educational teaching.
4. Represent the interests of HDFT in pre-registration education locally and nationally.
