Part of the Distribution Centre Management team that provides great service to our stores ensuring customers have great availability and standards of product by being a Manager that leads my team of colleagues who feel safe and love working at Tesco whilst operating an efficient and legal operation.
Responsibilities
* Analyzing data and information, establishing root cause and putting in place corrective actions.
* Delivering exceptional operating standards and ways of working across all areas in my shift.
* Using the Transport systems to fully realise our operating routines and associated efficiencies.
* Deliver the Transport improvement plan and build capability where it is needed most.
* Use knowledge to identify opportunities to improve Transport operation efficiency and performance, engaging and supporting the team to deliver these.
* Deliver all Transport plans, KPI’s and resources to ensure delivery and sustainable improvements on all KPIs, while achieving the Distribution Centre financial budget.
* Champion change, share ideas and experiences to deliver results.
* Take an active role in the Distribution Centre community plan, generating and delivering ideas and encouraging the team to do the same.
* Lead the team’s resource planning activities so that all hours are worked when and where needed to service our stores.
* Meet the needs of the colleagues in the team by using people routines and delivering strong leadership.
* Deliver operational routines and make decisions with the customers’ needs at the heart of actions.
* Operate in partnership with the Distribution Centre Management team, balancing shared objectives and needs, working together as one team and being a positive role model.
* Data analysis to identify root causes and implement corrective improvement measures.
* Deliver exceptional standards across all operational areas of the Delivery Service function.
* Lead and manage the team to work productively and coach/support/manage any colleagues not achieving targets.
* Follow the Business Code of Conduct and Data Protection Law, acting with integrity and due diligence.
