Support Worker Pay rate :£13.50 Days - £9.50 Sleep Rate(weekly or monthly pay available) Shift Pattern: 08:00am 16:00pm, 20:00pm 08:00am We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and enthusiastic female Support Worker to join our dedicated team, providing 1:1 support to a bright and joyful nine-year-old girl who lives at home with her mum and dad in Leigh. She has DiGeorge syndrome (22q11 deletion) and requires round-the-clock care, delivered by a consistent and understanding team.She is non-verbal, and her support workers will learn to recognise and respond to her unique communication cues. Full training will be provided. This is a rewarding role supporting a child who brings a lot of happiness, warmth, and personality to those around her. Your responsibilities will include: Provide high-quality personal care and support throughout the day and night. Learn and respond to her non-verbal communication cues. Support her to engage in her favourite activities and community outings. Work collaboratively with her family and other team members. Maintain a safe, nurturing, and consistent environment. Follow care plans, routines and guidance provided by parents and professionals. Experience and Skills of a Support Worker: Experience with children, non-verbal communication, or complex needs is helpful but not essential. Kind, patient, and caring Reliable, consistent, and confident Willing to learn child-specific communication cues. Happy to engage in sensory, creative, and play-based activities. Comfortable working within the family home Able to work as part of a small, stable team.
