We’re looking for an experienced Social Media Manager to join our vibrant and growing team at Plus 1 Communications. If you’re ready to take the lead on campaigns, manage a diverse client portfolio, and mentor junior talent while delivering outstanding results — we want to hear from you.
As Social Media Manager, you’ll shape social strategies, lead day-to-day execution across multiple platforms, and manage both clients and junior staff. This is a hands-on role with plenty of room for creativity, ownership, and career growth.
You’ll work alongside our close-knit team of marketing pros to deliver engaging, trend-savvy campaigns that drive measurable impact. We are looking for candidates with strong agency experience and a solid understanding of managing multiple accounts and teams.
Responsibilities
* Develop and lead innovative multi-channel social media campaigns for a variety of clients.
* Plan, write, and schedule standout content that connects with target audiences.
* Stay on top of social trends, platform updates, and viral moments – and use them to elevate client content.
* Guide and manage community engagement with brand-aligned tone and responsiveness.
* Create data-driven reports to analyse performance and identify areas of improvement.
* Oversee and optimise paid social media campaigns, using data to boost ROI.
* Mentor junior team members, providing training and creative support.
* Collaborate on creative briefs and work cross-functionally with content and design teams.
* Contribute to strategic thinking across client portfolios.
Qualifications
* 4+ years of agency experience in social media management, working across multiple brands.
* Deep knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and current platform best practices.
* Experience leading teams or mentoring junior staff.
* Strong copywriting and storytelling abilities – both short and long form.
* Proficiency with tools like Hootsuite, Later, or SproutSocial.
* Skilled in using analytics and performance metrics to drive decisions.
* Experience with paid campaigns and influencer partnerships (a plus).
* Familiarity with content creation tools like Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express.
* Confident managing multiple projects, deadlines, and client needs simultaneously.
* A team player who thrives in a collaborative, creative environment.

* Salary range : £35K–£45K depending on qualification and experience.
