The Role:
We are seeking a talented and versatile Sign Maker to contribute to all stages of our sign production process. This hands-on role requires a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic. While experience in the field is ideal, we are open to candidates who demonstrate relevant transferable skills and a genuine passion for the trade.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Sign Maker, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
1. Assisting with the production and assembly of various types of signs, including fascia signs, built-up letters, lightboxes, and more.
2. Accurately applying vinyl graphics to a variety of substrates, including vehicle wraps, windows, and panels.
3. Operating large format printers and laminators, and ensuring high-quality output.
4. Assisting with the installation of signs at client sites, adhering to health and safety regulations.
5. Cutting and preparing materials such as Dibond, Foamex, acrylic, and other sign-making substrates.
6. Ensuring all signs meet our high standards of quality before dispatch or installation.
7. Maintaining a clean and organised workshop environment.
8. Working effectively as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
Required Skills & Experience:
9. Previous experience in the sign-making industry is highly desirable, but not essential if you possess relevant skills and a strong eagerness to learn.
10. Ability to use a range of hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery safely and efficiently.
11. Meticulous attention to detail and precision in all tasks.
12. Ability to troubleshoot and find practical solutions.
13. Capable of manual handling and working in a workshop environment.
14. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
