Health & Safety Coordinator Livingston - Onsite Salary up to £40k, plus excellent benefits package We are seeking a Health & Safety Generalist to join the UK Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) team, supporting the EHS and Facilities function while providing support and guidance to managers and employees across the business. The successful candidate will be NEBOSH certified or at advanced stages in your certification process. The role is a site-based role, working in a high-tech manufacturing facility. We're looking for someone who is proactive, organised, and confident engaging with internal stakeholders, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and contribute to wider EHS initiatives. Key Requirements Essential NEBOSH General Certificate (or in process to certification) Understanding of UK EHS legislation and compliance Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards Knowledge of IOSH and COSHH, ideally with experience or exposure to hazardous/general waste management Experience delivering health & safety training and maintaining audit readiness Background within a manufacturing or engineering environment Report writing and presentation skills using Microsoft Office *If you don't meet all of the criteria but think your skills and experience could be a good fit, we'd encourage you to apply as we can support with continued professional development. Desirable Membership of a recognised professional body (IOSH, IEMA, IIRSM) or working towards Environmental qualification or equivalent experience Chemical management experience/background Auditing qualification or willingness to obtain ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 auditor certification Skills Good communication and stakeholder skills Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail Proactive and self-motivated approach Responsibilities Support EHS projects across UK sites, providing EHS guidance and support to managers and stakeholders Support the compliance with ISO standards, UK legislation, and company policies Support COSHH compliance activities across UK operations Support and conduct audits, inspections, and incident investigations Prepare reports, metrics, and presentations for EHS committees and stakeholders Support sustainability initiatives and environmental compliance activities Maintain documentation and ensure audit readiness Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the EHS function ?*This role is site based with an advanced technology Defence Manufacturing site, so the successful applicant will be required to undergo UK Security Clearance (SC).
