Responsibilities
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality.
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
* Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
* Help create a positive atmosphere within the kitchen by promoting teamwork and communication.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably as a Sous Chef or similar position within a restaurant environment.
* Strong knowledge of food production techniques and culinary skills.
* Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in supervising kitchen teams.
* Excellent understanding of food safety standards and regulations.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
* A passion for culinary arts and a desire to continually improve skills and knowledge.
