Job Role
: Field service Engineer
Manpower Engineering is currently collaborating with a a world-leading manufacturer of engineered steel and fibre-reinforced polymer construction products. With manufacturing facilities strategically located in three key locations, and a global presence spanning over 55 countries.
Salary: £35,000 to £50,000
Location: Onsite & Remote - New castle, Sheffield, Birmingham, and Liverpool
Willingness to travel regularly (30%-50% of the time.
Hours: 08:00 to 17:00
Qualifications Requirements:
1. Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
2. Work Experience: Customer service and quality control/inspection experience beneficial.
3. Language Skills: Very good command of spoken and written English.
4. IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Direct Reporting: AFS Manager
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure Commissioning / Decommissioning:
5. Advise clients on optimal workshop arrangements for equipment.
6. Coordinate audit information, pre-shipment prep, and packing for decommissioning.
7. Oversee installation and commissioning globally.
Documentation Management:
8. Maintain up-to-date documentation for all equipment.
9. Ensure accessibility of troubleshooting notices for common breakdowns.
Customer Training:
10. Train and monitor new operators, maintenance technicians, and supervisors.
11. Provide training for setting up test samples, splice assembly, and E-ticketing.
Technical Support Level 3:
12. Ensure timely response to E-tickets.
13. Provide remote or on-site technical assistance.
14. Conduct preventive maintenance Level 3 and advise on local part supplies.
Supervision:
15. Monitor production output and optimize workshop effectiveness.
16. Randomly supervise operations of bars cutting, cold forging, threading, and testing.
17. Ensure compliance with documentation and standardization.
Reporting & Communication:
18. Receive and convey client queries (E-tickets).
19. Report deviations to standard processes to both client and management.
20. Propose action plans for improving equipment performance.
