We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Analyst / Executive to join our Business Development Team. This role can be based at any of our 10 UK offices (Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Bristol, Cheltenham, Amersham, London or Guildford) on a hybrid working basis between home and office.
This particular role will be responsible for supporting the Business Development team’s projects to support the growth of the firm and supporting prospecting activity specifically in relation to Board Management Services (BMS). The BMS team provides services to companies and to trustees of UK occupational pension schemes. You will proactively support the team by drawing up target lists to support with new business, and support the BMS marketing group to promote our services, for example through drafting blogs and case studies and regular LinkedIn activity, as well working with marketing on events. You will also support with delivering BMS new business reporting and some operational reporting.
A snapshot of your day:
* Attend meetings with clients and prospects to provide support to the members of the BMS team, to include note taking, ensuring actions are recorded and completed, and liaison with other business areas as appropriate
* Initial prospect research, join fact find calls (for background), support with drafting fee quotes using established models or precedents, first drafts of relevant BMS proposal content and ensuring BMS content on Responsive is accurate and reflects the latest content
* Help develop a library of general content for prospecting
* Maintain awareness of relevant introducers and market influencers. Work with wider BD team to ensure knowledge is captured and shared as appropriate
* Ensure the BMS Client Toolkit page is current and complete
* Work with the Marketing Events Team responding to requests for collateral, invite lists and attendees.
* Ensure technical content is provided to Marketing in a timely fashion to support campaigns and goes through the appropriate approval channels. *Note that the amount to which the job holder gets directly involved with clients/prospective clients rather than managing the process for colleagues will depend on the level of their experience
* Provide support for the collation of information for management reports, new business reports and business plans as required
We would love to hear from you if you have:
* Experience of working in a similar role within a Business Development, Sales or Marketing environment
* Experience working with a CRM system or similar
* Demonstrated ability to use initiative, be creative, communicate openly and drive progress
* A relevant qualification is advantage
* Knowledge of Pensions, particularly Pension Management services, is advantageous but not essential
* Experience within a financial services or legal / professional services environment is preferred
* Business acumen and commerciality. Previous experience supporting senior leaders to "open doors" for new business.
