About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and flexible Cover Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone seeking a small but regular daily commitment, with the flexibility to provide additional cover during staff holidays and sickness.
Your main responsibility will be to provide cover during our daily one-hour lunch break. You will also be the first point of contact for incoming calls and visitors, so confidence using a telephone system and delivering excellent customer service is essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide cover during weekday lunch hours (1 hour per day)
* Answer and direct incoming phone calls using our telephone system
* Greet visitors and handle front-desk enquiries in a professional manner
* Step in to cover staff absences due to holidays or sickness (advance notice whenever possible)
* Perform light administrative or support duties as required
About You
* Confident and experienced in using a telephone system
* Friendly, professional, and customer-focused – you're the first voice and face of our business
* Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility
* Able to work independently and adapt to new tasks quickly
* Flexible and available at short notice when needed
* Previous reception or customer-facing experience is desirable
