As our Head of Commercial for TF Solutions, you will lead the end-to-end commercial strategy, driving sales, trading profit, and cost efficiency across our product categories. You’ll sit on the TF Solutions Senior Leadership Team and play a key role in delivering on both divisional and Group-wide commercial goals.
Location: Flexible – with regular travel to key TF Solutions sites.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing commercial team to deliver ambitious goals and foster a culture of excellence.
* Define and execute trading strategies to deliver strong sales, margin, and cost outcomes across categories.
* Work closely with the TF Solutions SLT to shape and influence overall business direction through commercial insights.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure best-in-class terms, exclusive products, and strategic opportunities.
* Develop pricing and ranging strategies that help us win profitable business in a competitive marketplace.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Finance to drive trading success and service excellence.
* Continually evaluate market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to ensure category strategies remain market-leading.
* Own financial performance for your categories – including trading accounts, rebates, and COGS optimisation.
You’ll Also Have:
* Extensive experience in a commercial or category management role within the merchanting or retail sector.
* Proven leadership experience with a track record of leading teams through change and growth.
* Advanced negotiation skills and supplier relationship management expertise.
* Excellent analytical ability with the confidence to use data to inform strategic decisions.
* Experience working cross-functionally and influencing at senior levels.
* A customer-first mindset with the agility to adapt to market and business needs.
