SEN Class Teacher – ASD Specialist School

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Milk Education is working in partnership with a specialist ASD school in Solihull that is seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Class Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a qualified teacher who is committed to supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering engaging, personalised learning experiences and creating a nurturing, structured environment where pupils can develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils with ASD.
* Adapt teaching strategies to support a range of communication, sensory, and learning needs.
* Create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment that promotes independence and confidence.
* Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress in line with EHCP targets and school expectations.
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, SENCOs, and other professionals.
* Implement positive behaviour support strategies to encourage engagement and learning.
* Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues to support holistic development.
Essential Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience working with pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or within a specialist SEN setting.
* Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.
* A patient, resilient, and adaptable approach to teaching.
* Ability to differentiate effectively and create individualised learning opportunities.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
