Job Description
The EU Hernia Product Manager is responsible for managing the synthetic mesh portfolio as part of the AR&R (Hernia) portfolio of the Surgery BU, maximizing growth and profitability on the assigned EU market, according to regional marketing targets and guidelines. The EU PM will work in close collaboration with the EU PMs and Marketing Manager responsible for the Hernia meshes portfolio.
The EU PM is expected to work and collaborate with the other team members and work across a variety of stakeholders within the sales and support functions. You will utilize your market expertise to entrepreneurially create and drive the commercial strategy for our synthetic mesh portfolio offerings supporting the EU region to achieve their strategic and financial performance targets.
Your responsibilities include the management of your overall product portfolio, including the value proposition, pricing management, market launches, promotional campaigns and Sales Enablement. In addition, you will partner closely with the other Hernia Product Managers and the Platform teams to enable the promotion of our overall “advance hernia care” pillar and collaborate in a seamless way with our cross‑functional and commercial partners regionwide.
Responsibilities
* Support the implementation of the EU product portfolio strategies including value proposition, positioning, product promotion, pricing and portfolio lifecycle management.
* In conjunction with the EU Marketing manager and country marketing teams, develop market specific strategies and tactics for our synthetic mesh offerings to ensure that BD Hernia portfolio is well positioned for success.
* Develop and maintain expert market knowledge in terms of quantitative data (e.g., market data, market trends, competitor offering) and qualitative data (e.g., customer needs, technologies and applications).
* Develop and implement new product launch campaigns, aligning with market specific strategies and coordinating launch activities with all relevant stakeholders.
* Support the Sales team with product information as the main Subject Matter Expert and contribute to product training initiatives on a regular basis.
* Develop promotional material / marketing collateral and tools which will deliver key messages, positioning and reflect brand essence.
* Develop and maintain a competitive intelligence database for your portfolio.
* Identify, evaluate and develop Key Opinion Leader (KOL) plan and network in conjunction with Professional Education & Medical functions.
* Develop and support market research activities (Voice of Customer) and Post Market Surveillance studies.
* Support with the evaluation and prioritizations of Interfacing and Integration requirements in different markets and support the engagement with 3rd parties to plan and enable collaborations.
Preferred Requirements
* Significant and proven experience in a commercial/marketing role.
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Medical or scientific degree preferred.
* Strong knowledge of the Medtech industry especially with the surgery field.
* Experience working in a matrix organization, ideally working in a multi-cultural environment.
* Fluent in English as a working language. Additional languages an advantage.
* Willingness to travel up to 50% across the EU region.

Salary Range: €41,900.00 – €67,025.00 EUR Annual
