Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in various accounting tasks. Responsibilities
* Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices.
* Maintain financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft.
* Preparation and submission of self-assessment tax return
* Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
* Provide assistance to department manager
* Participate in mentoring junior staff members, sharing knowledge of best practices in financial services.
* Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
* Assist with various administrative tasks related to financial accounting and reporting.
Experience
* Proven experience in an accounting or finance role is desirable, particularly in preparation and submission of self assessment tax return.
* Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft is essential.
* Strong understanding of financial management principles and practices.
* Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
* Previous experience in accountancy firm, VAT and company's financial account
