About the Role
As Commercial Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the company's commercial strategy. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, your remit will span strategic planning, tendering, procurement, contract management, and commercial team leadership.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Leading the commercial function to drive profitable growth and ensure alignment with company goals
Overseeing contract negotiations, risk management, and compliance
Building and maintaining strong client and consultant relationships
Managing and mentoring a team of Quantity Surveyors and Estimators
Leading bid submissions and advising on project feasibility
Supporting senior leadership with commercial insight and strategic input
This is a high-impact role for a commercially astute leader who can add value at both strategic and operational levels.

Requirements
Minimum 10 years of commercial leadership experience in the construction industry (ideally fit-out or interiors)
Proven success in delivering commercial strategies and leading tendering efforts
Strong knowledge of contract law, procurement, and risk mitigation
Experienced in managing and developing high-performing commercial teams
Relevant degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline preferred
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and lead at a senior level
