Salary: £65,400 - £81,780 (Birmingham) or £94,560 (London)
Location: Birmingham or London, minimum 3 days in office (anchor day Tuesday)

I’m recruiting for a Senior Planning Counsel/Lawyer to join the in-house legal team of a nationally significant infrastructure project. This is a great opportunity to work at the forefront of UK planning law, advising on complex, high-profile matters.
Requirements:
* Qualified solicitor, admitted in England & Wales with an active practising certificate
* Strong, demonstrable experience in planning law.
* Background in private practice or public sector/local government.
* Experience with compulsory purchase matters.
* Previous line management experience.
The Role:
You'll be responsible for delivering expert legal advice across a broad range of planning issues, including:
* Town and Country Planning
* Planning enforcement
* Development consent and bespoke legislative frameworks
* Compulsory purchase and associated compensation claims
* Liaison with internal teams and external legal panel firms
* Advising on planning law matters across the organisation’s land and property interests
This role will have a 1 stage interview process on Teams.
