Hays is recruiting for a Principal Urban Catchment Modeller based in Guildford. You will work with the Surface Water Management (SWM) team, focusing on multidisciplinary projects related to stormwater management, Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS), wastewater, and integrated networks. Your new role
The Principal Urban Catchment Modeller will:
* Conduct feasibility studies and catchment drainage modelling.
* Support operational and environmental recommendations.
* Manage technical aspects of surface water management projects.
* Build and maintain client relationships.
* Assist in bid preparation and resource planning.
* Lead project teams and promote staff development.
* Participate in innovation and improvement initiatives.
What you'll need to succeed
Qualifications and skills include:
* Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Geography, or related field.
* At least 5 years of relevant experience.
* Knowledge of the water environment and sustainability.
* Experience with surface water management projects.
* Understanding of UK Water Industry regulations.
* Experience with integrated drainage modelling.
* Proficiency in hydraulic modelling software (preferably ICM).
