SEN Teaching Assistant – EYFS
Location: Poulton-le-Fylde
Position Type: Full-time (term-time only)
Start Date: 03/11/2025
Pay: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Teaching Personnel is working closely with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Poulton-le-Fylde, who are seeking a caring and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support young learners in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) who have identified Special Educational Needs (SEN), including speech and language difficulties, developmental delays, and social, emotional or sensory needs.
About the Role:
* Working one-to-one or in small groups to support children with additional needs
* Assisting with the delivery of personalised learning plans and EHCP targets
* Supporting pupils with communication, social skills, and emotional regulation
* Collaborating closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals
* Creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Previous experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in an EYFS or primary setting
* A calm, patient and empathetic approach
* Understanding of strategies to support early communication, behaviour and sensory needs
* A relevant TA or childcare qualification (desirable but not essential)
* A genuine passion for inclusive education and child development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
