The Children’s Contact/Family Time Supervisor and Facilitator is responsible for the efficient, effective and safe support to children to remain connected with their family and those who are important to them. It ensures that children who are in our care are able to spend positive time with those people who are important to them in a safe supervised or facilitated manner. About The Role The role, under the direction of the Team Manager will enable positive time to be spent between children and those with whom it is agreed that they should remain connected since entering care. The role will include offering positive modelling, providing advice and support during sessions and may include the need to intervene or challenge in a positive and respectful manner to ensure that time with connected people is a positive and child focused experience. The role will include building meaningful relationships with children, their parents and naturally connected people, to assist with quality contact and support, to work alongside the social worker with plans for reunification. There may also be a requirement to support children and work alongside other professionals in the service, providing transport and support as part of a child’s care plan to prevent placement breakdown. The service will delivery flexible family time by operating within an extended hours model. The ability to Work flexible hours and in flexible locations is required to meet the needs of young people engaged in this service. What We Can Offer You Salary: The salary band for this role is £32,061 - £36,362. The starting salary is £32,061 with annual progression through the salary bands.
