Our friendly and professional Radiology Department offers a full range of MRI, CT, and general imaging services, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure excellent clinical outcomes. The Role We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and compassionate Band 5 MRI & CT Radiographer to join our dynamic cross-sectional imaging team. You will support the delivery of high-quality MRI and CT examinations while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and dignity at all times. Key Responsibilities • Perform high-quality MRI and CT examinations in accordance with IR(ME)R regulations and departmental protocols. • Ensure safe and effective operation of MRI and CT equipment, including adhering to MRI safety procedures. • Communicate clearly with patients, relatives, and colleagues to provide an excellent patient experience. • Work collaboratively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals. • Maintain accurate imaging records and contribute to audit and quality assurance activities. • Support the training and development of student radiographers and assistant practitioners. • Follow departmental health and safety guidelines, infection prevention measures, and safeguarding policies. Essential Criteria • BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification. • HCPC registration (or pending for new graduates). • Good interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills. • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. • Willingness to work flexibly, including weekends and on-call shifts. Desirable Criteria • Previous experience in MRI and/or CT (training will be provided for suitable candidates). • Understanding of current developments in cross-sectional imaging. • Demonstrated interest in CPD and further modality-specific training.
