The school is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant as below required as soon as possible:
Working 28.75 hours per week, time term only, 38.2 weeks.
BCP Band F SCP 12 – 17 (Hourly rate £14.82-£16.08)
Fixed Term (until with possibility of a further 1-2 school years)
Monday to Friday 8:45am – 3:00pm
We are looking for a highly motivated person to join our team, who has the expertise, enthusiasm and energy to assist the teachers in promoting high standards of achievement and a sense of belonging for our children. A key part of this role will be supporting children's independence both individually or in small groups, as guided by the teacher.
From 1 December 2025, our refreshed Pay and Reward package comes into effect, bringing a new approach to how we recognise and reward roles across the Council. This means the salary for this role will be changing. The pay range for this role will be an hourly rate of £16.35– £18.85 from 1 December 2025.

The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position at the time of advert. The salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part way through the school year to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year.

Keeping Children Safe in Education
Mudeford Community Infants School will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
