ProInfoNet is seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist to join our growing Network Operations Center (NOC) team. This role provides advanced technical support for internal and external users while helping maintain the stability, security, and performance of our managed client environments.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and customer-focused, with a strong foundation in systems and network support. You’ll work across a variety of technologies resolving complex issues, performing proactive maintenance, and contributing to projects that strengthen connectivity and reliability for organizations across Maine and beyond.
What You’ll Do:
* Serve as the escalation point for NOC/Helpdesk tickets, troubleshooting advanced hardware, software, and network issues.
* Provide managed IT support for multiple client environments, ensuring SLA compliance and clear communication with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
* Perform proactive monitoring and maintenance to identify and resolve potential performance, network, or security issues.
* Support patch management, endpoint protection, and data backup verification to maintain secure, recoverable systems.
* Configure and maintain switches, routers, and firewalls while monitoring bandwidth, latency, and connectivity.
* Ensure adherence to HIPAA and other data privacy standards.
* Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, network diagrams, and change management records.
* Collaborate with Tier 1 Technicians, Network Engineers, and management to ensure efficient escalation and resolution.
* Participate in infrastructure projects, upgrades, and new technology implementations.
What You Bring:
* Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* 3–5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or network operations.
* Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, routing, switching).
* Proficiency with Windows OS, Microsoft 365 administration, and endpoint management tools.
* Familiarity with network monitoring systems such as LogicMonitor, SolarWinds, or PRTG.
* Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
* Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or A+, Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or Cisco CCNA/ITIL Foundations preferred.
