About NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde

Job Details

These positions are available from August 2025 at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley, with a tenure of 12 months. They are suitable for doctors who have completed the Foundation Programme and are considering a career in anaesthesia/critical care, or those who have completed core training in medicine, anaesthesia, or surgery and are seeking a different experience before the next career step. Applications from doctors wishing to work 6 or 12 months from August 2024 or February 2025 are welcome. Part-time applications are encouraged.


Role Responsibilities

1. Split of duties: 80% clinical and 20% non-clinical.
2. Clinical duties include routine and emergency care of level 2 and level 3 patients within the RAH Critical Care department, including patient transfers.
3. Work shifts will include nights and weekends, following a Band 1A (50%) New Deal compliant rota, alongside trainees from the Anaesthesia Department and Advanced Critical Care Practitioners.
