Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live In Care Professional to join our team in Shoreham, Kent. As a Live In Care Professional, you will provide essential support and companionship to a elderly client requiring general support within their home. You will be required to enhance their quality of life and help them maintain their independence.
* Live in the client's home, providing round-the-clock care and support
* Offer companionship and engage in meaningful conversations with clients
* Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
* Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals according to dietary requirements
* Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment
* Provide medication reminders and assist with medication management
* Accompany clients to appointments, social events, and outings
* Support clients with mobility and transfers as needed
* Monitor clients' physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes or concerns
* Maintain accurate records of daily activities and client's condition
* Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
* Organise and participate in stimulating activities tailored to the client's interests and abilities
* Assist with pet care when required
* Manage household tasks such as laundry, shopping, and running errands
Salary
* £125.00-£135.00 daily rate
* Additional £8.00 per day food allowance
* Flexible rotas which can be negotiated
* Full milage paid when using car for client purposes
Qualifications
* Genuine passion for caring for others, with a friendly and empathetic demeanour
* Previous experience in caring or a related field (preferred)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong time management and organisational abilities
* Proficiency in cooking skills
* Proficiency in personal care techniques and light housekeeping
* Physical capability to assist with mobility and transfers
* Understanding of medication management and administration
* Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's care (preferred)
* Ability to maintain a professional and supportive attitude in challenging situations
* Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and schedules
* Excellent observation and reporting skills
* Basic computer literacy for documentation purposes
* Willingness to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service check (repaid after 3 months' service)
* Right to work in the United Kingdom
Additional Information
As a Live In Care Professional, you will be provided with 3 meals a day or an allowance from the client, a separate room to stay and access to a TV and WiFi. In addition, we offer comprehensive training and support.
