About the Role
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will take responsibility of the coordination of tasks within the export/import process in accordance with company and international trade regulations, including documentation and customs clearance.
1. Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and communicate with stakeholders of any changes in trade laws.
2. Communicate with customs officials, transport companies, and other stakeholders to resolve any issues that may arise during the import/export process.
3. Prepare and review transport documents, export declarations, and other required paperwork.
4. Scheduling booking slots with customers and haulers / freight forwarders.
5. Utilizing customer and hauler’s online portal systems.
6. Co-ordinate loading of shipments with the logistics team.
7. Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking information and customs documentation.
8. Collaborate with internal teams to optimize logistics processes and minimize transport costs
About the Ideal Candidate
This position calls for an individual with proven 2-3 years experience in import and export operations, preferably in a similar role and has strong working knowledge of Incoterms, tariff classification, and customs procedures. Alongside this working knowledge of customs regulations and trade compliance requirements must be demonstrable.
Communication is a key part of this role as you will be interactive with a range of external and internal stakeholders. Therefore we are looking for someone who has the ability to communicate professionally with confidence and concisely. To ensure that you are effective in this role, you must able to demonstrate excellent time management and organisational skills. If you can also demonstrate your ability to resolve problems to a commercially successful outcome, then you could be an ideal candidate.
