Are you ready to make a real difference in someone’s life? We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Support Worker to work across our supported living services in the Grantham area, delivering and overseeing high-quality support for individuals with learning disabilities and/or difficulties, autism, and complex needs.
In this role, you’ll support people to live as independently as possible within their own homes, promoting choice, control, and inclusion in everyday life. You’ll play a key role in ensuring each person receives tailored, person‑centred support that reflects their goals, preferences, and aspirations.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Registered Manager, you’ll divide your time between hands‑on support and leadership or administrative responsibilities. Alongside supporting the individuals, you’ll also provide day‑to‑day guidance and leadership to the staff teams across both services—helping to coordinate shifts, maintain high standards of care, and ensure services run smoothly, safely, and in line with best practice and regulatory requirements.
* Encourage people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, to encourage independence.
* Support activities of daily living, including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.
* Communicate effectively using people’s chosen methods.
* Engage and motivate people to enhance their quality of life.
* Specialise in supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches.
* Record and report changes in health or circumstances of service users to management.
* Work as a team player, using initiative where required.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 12 months on your right to work.
* Full UK Drivers licence.
* Level 2 in Health and Social Care and willingness to work towards Level 3.
