Wood is currently recruiting for a Project Estimator to join our Shell EPC Contract. This position will support the contract across our Projects and Modifications Portfolio. The EPC Contract is well established, with a broad and exciting portfolio of long-term scopes, secured across multiple onshore and offshore assets.
The position will report to the contract lead estimator and will work closely with project management, technical departments, and the wider project controls team. The role will involve regular client interfacing, including interaction with the client estimating team.
We offer this position as a permanent staff, fixed-term, or LTD.
Job Objective:
* Report to the contract lead estimator and collaborate with project management, technical departments, and the project controls team. Engage with clients and the estimating team regularly.
* Prepare, review, and submit accurate cost estimates to facilitate budgeting and planning, supporting project control throughout the project lifecycle to ensure profitable delivery.
* Develop project estimates ensuring they meet the required level of detail and accuracy, in line with contractual and company standards.
* Assist senior estimating team members in managing and developing the estimating process, maintaining estimating norms, and organizing project estimate documentation.
* Act as a focal point for multiple project scopes, working with the team to identify best practices and drive continuous improvement within the estimating function.
Qualifications:
* Typically requires a Bachelor's degree (ISCED level 6) in a relevant technical or business discipline, or equivalent industry experience or vocational training.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
* Progressive industry experience in estimating roles.
* Thorough knowledge of estimating techniques and systems, with an understanding of their application.
* Strong grasp of project management principles and techniques.
* Solid understanding of Cost Management, Change Control, Planning, and Risk Analysis & Management.
* Experience in a senior estimating role.
