Description
This is an opportunity to join the Information Services function based at AESC’s Sunderland-based manufacturing facilities. Information Services manage all aspects of the IT infrastructure and information systems required to support the company’s UK operations.
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Operations Analyst to join our Operations team. The successful candidate will provide technical support regarding our IT infrastructure and manufacturing and corporate IS systems. The role also involves providing Helpdesk services to our UK and EU user base. This position is ideal for someone with IT and IS skills, a passion for problem-solving, and excellent customer service abilities.
Note that the role operates on a shift basis, following a continental shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure, including servers, network appliances, and PCs.
* Provide technical support for manufacturing systems, including MES (Manufacturing Execution System), and corporate systems, including Microsoft 365.
* Deliver Helpdesk services to all users, handling incident management and request fulfillment.
* Collaborate with the wider Information Services team to develop and implement new or improved solutions and services.
* Assist in developing and adhering to IT and IS policies, processes, and procedures.
Experience and Qualifications

* Proven IT skills with experience supporting IT infrastructure and IS systems.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
* Attention to detail and practical skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
* Experience supporting IT infrastructure and IS systems in a manufacturing environment.
* A relevant IT degree.
* Willingness to travel occasionally.
