Are you a Shift Engineer with experience of either Manufacturing, FMCG or production looking for a new role based in Stonehouse Gloucester.
Earlies/Lates (6am-2pm wk1 Monday-Friday / 2-10pm wk2
Monday to Friday)
Salary: £45-50k
Location: Gloucester
You will be supporting site functions, which will include maintaining and repairing all site machinery and site services, including improving equipment reliability and planned preventative maintenance. You will also support the production Team Leaders and Operators to improve performance and analyse OEE data to take corrective actions to improve plant reliability.
Main Duties and Key Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains an integrated Production operation to agreed health, safety and quality engineering and technical standards.
Optimises line performance to meet and exceed Key Performance Indicators in equipment reliability and efficiency.
Carries out planned maintenance activities and suggests ways to improve them based on observations and history and makes them happen.
Routinely analyses line performance data and takes appropriate action to improve performance.
Participates and leads continuous improvement and problem-solving activities to improve performance.
Develop systems to ensure the correct operation of equipment and facilities and improve methods to manage processes (from changeovers to reaction plans).
Owns part of the reliability program to improve the performance of allocated machines.
Ensures appropriate information is captured on plant performance, and maintenance activities to drive a predictive approach to tasks and to prevent equipment failures.
Conducts safety, quality, and GMP inspections/audits and recommends appropriate action.
Coaches team members to carry out asset care and condition monitoring tasks.

• Be flexible as and when required.
Knowledge and Experience:
• Experience of working in a fast moving manufacturing environment. Food production
experience is essential.
• Must be qualified to HNC or City and Guilds Part 3 skilled discipline, or time served
apprenticeship.
• Excellent Mechanical and Electrical skills
• IOSH Health and Safety would be advantageous but must demonstrate sound health and
safety knowledge
