Overview
Network Engineering Officers (2 positions, 2 year temporary) to support South Lanarkshire Roads, Transportation and Fleet Services across East Kilbride, Hamilton and Clydesdale. Working Monday – Friday, 35 hours per week, salary £42,228 – £48,633, based at Council Headquarters, Almada Street, Hamilton and Council Offices, South Vennel, Lanark.
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to the preparation of capital and revenue improvement programmes.
* Prepare Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders.
* Ensure works comply with all relevant health and safety requirements.
* Manage routine and statutory enquiries, including those from elected members and the public.
* Deliver network functions for a roads and transportation environment, applying statutory obligations, responsibilities and relevant legislation.
Qualifications
* Knowledge of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 and related legislation.
* Experience in network functions within a roads and transportation environment.
* Experience in road maintenance processes, procedures and techniques.
* Strong understanding of asset and financial management.
* Familiarity with civil engineering procedures and contract administration.
* Full and current driving licence.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines and operate as part of a wider team.
* Customer focus, service delivery and continuous improvement commitment.
