Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
* Support for Students:
o Assisting in the delivery of personalized learning plans and strategies.
o Helping students with tasks that may be challenging for them, such as reading, writing, or completing practical tasks.
o Providing one-on-one or small group support to promote engagement and independence in learning.
* Behavioral and Emotional Support:
o Helping students manage their behavior, supporting them in understanding boundaries and expectations.
o Providing emotional support, helping students develop social skills and self-regulation techniques.
* Collaboration:
o Working closely with the classroom teacher, SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), and other staff to implement individualized learning plans.
o Attending regular team meetings to discuss progress and share insights on how to best support students.
o Communicating with parents or guardians regarding student progress and concerns when necessary.
* Personal Care and Health Needs:
o Supporting students with personal care needs, which may include feeding, dressing, or mobility assistance (depending on the needs of the students).
o Being mindful of health and safety protocols, particularly for students with medical conditions or physical disabilities.
