Job Title: Complex Needs Teaching Assistant Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire Contract Type: long-term with the view to going permanent for the right candidate Leader Education are recruiting a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to work in a of Large SEND Schools based in Leeds, who cater for pupils aged between 2 to 19 years old. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children or young adults with profound and multiple learning disability (PMLD), severe learning difficulties (SLD) and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The successful candidate will have: It is essential that you have a moving and handling qualification or be willing to attend our free course to obtain one. Experience working with children, young adults or adults who have profound and complex disabilities, particularly those with autism. Basic Life Support, seizure training and PEG feeding training is desirable. A comprehensive understanding of the unique challenges and needs of students with PMLD. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to adapt instruction to meet individual student requirements.
