Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
1. Completing routine and scheduled maintenance in accordance with work orders, maintenance schedules and support documentation.
2. React to alarms on anomalies within the SGS, to ensure operational capabilities are maintained.
3. Report, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve system alarms and anomalies.
4. Compose comprehensive fault reports and accurately record all details of maintenance activities.
5. Follow safe working in line with site Health and Safety and Radiation policies.
6. Create and change written authorised procedures and manuals as directed by the Installation and Maintenance Supervisor.
This is a full-time position based on-site at Oakhanger, working 44 hours per week as part of a rotating shift pattern: 2 day shifts followed by 2 night shifts, then 4 days off.
Essential Experience of the Maintenance and Support Engineer
7. ComPTIA Network + or relevant experience
8. Systems engineering experience within the Network and RF communications fields.
9. Proven experience maintaining, and fault diagnosis of equipment used in satellite communications including control and monitoring systems.
10. Experience of working to safety procedures.
11. Good organisational skills, ability to prioritise workloads, with a sense of autonomy.
Qualifications for the Maintenance and Support Engineer
12. HNC or above in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or relevant evidence of experience.

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
