SEMH Teaching Assistant (Team Teach Trained) – Alternative Provision TeacherActive is currently working with a number of alternative provisions and specialist settings that are seeking experienced and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistants with Team Teach training to support young people with challenging behaviours. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a real difference in the lives of pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support. Roles are available on a trial basis, with the opportunity to secure a permanent salaried position for the right candidates. The Role: Supporting students with SEMH needs in alternative provision settings Working on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to support learning and behaviour Implementing behaviour management strategies in line with Team Teach principles Supporting pupils to regulate emotions and re-engage with learning Assisting teaching staff in delivering tailored and structured lessons Promoting a safe, supportive, and consistent environment The Ideal Candidate Will: Hold a valid Team Teach qualification (essential) Have experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs Be confident managing challenging behaviours in a calm and professional manner Demonstrate resilience, patience, and strong communication skills Have a solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection Be committed to supporting pupils&rs...
