A fantastic specialist setting in Slough is currently looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism. You’ll be supporting pupils across primary and/or secondary ages depending on experience, helping them access learning in a way that feels safe, predictable and engaging. Responsibilities Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ASD Supporting communication, sensory needs and emotional regulation Using structured approaches to learning and transitions Helping to implement EHCP targets Creating a calm, supportive learning environment Requirements Experience supporting children/young people with ASD (school or care background welcome) Understanding of sensory needs and communication differences Patient, resilient and proactive approach Ability to follow structure and routines consistently Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) At Supply Hive, safeguarding is a top priority.
