Senior Supply Chain Manager
Our fantastic global company based in St Albans is looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join their operations department. This individual must be experienced in all aspects of Supply Chain and Management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operational Oversight: Oversee daily operations of logistics and warehouse management, ensuring alignment with overall supply chain strategy and objectives.
* Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance logistics and warehouse operations, including inventory management, transportation planning, and distribution strategies.
* Process Optimisation: Identify and implement best practices in logistics and warehouse management to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
* Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for logistics and warehouse operations, ensuring effective allocation of resources and cost control.
* Logistics and Warehouse Management: Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of logistics and supply chain activities, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
* Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records and slow-moving stock, oversee stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations. Implement inventory counting processes, such as cycle counts and annual audits.
* Leadership & Management: Lead, mentor, and develop Managers across logistics, warehouse, and project management to ensure effective operations and high-performance standards.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
* Operations Management and or Supply Chain qualification & experience
* Must have experience in Sage X3 System
* Minimum 6 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, and compliance, with a focus on export control.
* Strong knowledge of export control regulations and customs procedures.
* Proven experience in managing logistics operations and working with third-party providers.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
* Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
* Performance management
* Knowledge of Legal, Regulatory and Statutory requirements
