About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our Finance Team. Based at our Bellshill office, this is a full-time, office-based role offering a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of the company’s financial operations.


Key Responsibilities

* Manage the daily operations of the purchase ledger, including:
o Monitoring and managing the accounts payable email inbox
o Liaising with teams to process authorised purchase order invoices
o Processing invoices and employee expenses
o Point of contact for project POs
* Open and distribute incoming financial mail
* Prepare and issue electricity recharge invoices
* Post daily cash transactions to the cash book, sales and purchase ledger
* Perform daily bank reconciliations
* Set up month-end balance sheet and accrual/prepayment calculation spreadsheets
* Reconcile monthly balance sheets for foreign entities
* Assist with foreign VAT submissions
* Perform rates reconciliations
* A methodical and organised approach to work
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels
* Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel


Desired Functional & Technical Skills

* A proactive and confident self-starter, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines
* Experience and knowledge of Sage 200 Accountancy Package
