Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting for an experienced and QualifiedFinance Manager to join a PE backed business in Liverpool. This leadership opportunity offers the chance to shape and drive strategic direction within a newly created shared service function. With a focus on building a culture of operational excellence, control, and accuracy, this role is designed for a candidate who is passionate about driving efficiency, coaching teams, and delivering results.

The Role:


Reporting to the Director of Group Shared Services, key responsibilities of the Finance Manager will include:

1. Managing and optimising end-to-end financial reporting processes, such as journal postings, reconciliations, VAT and Balance Sheet controls and more.
2. Ensuring financial controls and compliance with internal policies and standards.
3. Hire, train and lead a team of finance professionals while championing best practices and operational efficiency.
4. Collaborating with key stakeholders, including Group Finance, auditors, and wider business units, to ensure smooth operations.
5. Coaching and mentoring your team, fostering a culture of growth and continuous improvement.
6. Leveraging data and performance metrics to drive process improvements and achieve operational excellence.

What We're Looking For:


To thrive in this role, you'll need to bring the following qualifications and experiences:

7. A qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA preferred).
8. Strong financial controls background
9. Expert understanding of financial reporting processes, including intercompany reconciliations, fixed assets handling, and accounts close procedures.
10. A desire and willingness to take on supervisory responsibilities as the role progresses
11. A background in finance roles such as controller, technical accountant, or auditor, and a strong grasp of accounting standards and financial controls.
12. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with clear and effective communication abilities.
