Role Overview To assist a small Estates Team in carrying out the landscape and woodland maintenance of the Whiteley Village Estate. Key Responsibilities: * To assist in cutting and maintaining all grass areas. * To assist in maintaining all flower/shrub beds and on garden projects. * To assist in all forestry and woodland work. * To assist in hard and soft landscaping projects. * To maintain healthy and safe working conditions. * To identify, maintain and prepare equipment and machines for safe use. * To maintain effective working relationships with the team, The Head of Estates, residents and visitors. * To respond to emergencies and to report them to the Head of Estates. What you will need * Experience in gardening and grounds maintenance is essential. * Experience in the work of the Estate equipment such a ride on mowers, tractors, chainsaws, strimming and woodchippers. * Good team worker with the ability to integrate. * Be able to work alone. * Knowledge of IT systems as a PDA will be issued and assigned work from a digital helpdesk. * Excellent customer service skills. * Excellent communication skills. * Good Knowledge on shrubs and flowers. * Be able to work in all weather conditions. Person specification Skills & Knowledge Required: * Willing to learn and have an interest in self-development * Effective verbal and written communication skills * Excellent customer service skills * Flexible/adaptable * Good interpersonal skills Experience Required - Experience in gardening/grounds and woodland maintenance. Preferred - Experience in using and maintaining grounds working machines.
