£147 per day (via umbrella)
A well-established public sector organisation is looking for a Finance Operations Assistant to support its Governance & Operational Finance function.
This role sits within a busy finance team responsible for day-to-day transactional processing and financial controls, working closely with colleagues to ensure smooth and accurate financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Processing supplier and customer invoices (AP & AR)
* Matching invoices to purchase orders
* Handling invoice and payment queries
* Processing expenses and customer receipts
* Reconciling supplier statements
* Setting up new suppliers and customers
* Supporting budget holders with finance queries
* Assisting with internal and external audit activity
About You:
* Previous experience in a finance operations or transactional finance role
* Comfortable working across AP, AR, expenses, or treasury functions
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume processing
* Confident communicating with internal stakeholders
* Public sector experience is beneficial but not essential
