Milford Care are looking for new companions to join our fantastic, hard-working team at one of our care homes, Buddleia House, in Hucknall. We have part-time contracts available. Being a companion combines care assistant skills such as personal care, with the more social companionship side of care- supporting our residents to live independently and happily.
At Buddleia House, we pride ourselves on delivering a level of care that focuses directly on our residents. We focus on what an individual needs in order to return a sense of independence back into their life, keeping residents at the heart.
Buddleia House is so much more than your typical care home. Endeavouring to cater to all the senses that just can't be understood until you walk through the doors of our home. We've also just been awarded our Band 5 Quality Score from Nottinghamshire County Council.
Details of these Companion positions and what the home is offering:
· Permanent contracts, working flexible shifts over a 7 day rota
· Part-time (21 Hours) and Full-time (35 Hours) contracts – 7 hour shifts (either 7am – 2pm, 2pm-9pm)
· £12.41 per hour (extra 15p per hour for NVQ qualified or equivalent)

What We Are Looking For In a Companion:
To work in Care, you need the right qualities but gain the qualifications.
· Being a companion at Buddleia House means you enable our residents to live enriched and fulfilled lives
·
· You will listen, talk, share experiences and memories and provide emotional support to our residents
· You may have some experience in a UK nursing home setting, but it is not essential
· Preferably you will have a keen interest in working in older peoples' services
· A flexible approach to shift patterns and able to adhere to a 7 day rota
· You will be compassionate and respectful and able to build relationships with colleagues and those that you care for
