An Exciting position has arisen to work within NWSSP Supply Chain Logistics & Transport as an Assistant Regional Supply Chain Manager.
The job itself will involve working closely and Assisting the Supply Chain Area Manager and the Regional Supply Chain Manager to Manage & Oversee the functions at each of the R&D (Receipt & Distribution) sites within South West Wales. This role will primarily be based in West Wales, Covering Swansea Bay, and Hywel Dda Healthboard areas, however there will be occasions where you will be required to travel to South Wales areas (Cardiff & Vale, Cwm Taf).
Each R&D site has it's own intricacies and variety in functions, however they all share the same core function of receiving and receipting goods from both our internal supply chain & External Couriers, to then distributing them up to the necessary hospital wards.
It is essential to be able to Travel across West Wales, as travelling across sites is a core part of the role.
The successful candidate will also be supporting the Area Manager to implement modernisation plans and introduce technology to streamline the R&D functions.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
Working closely with the Area & Regional Manager to feedback quality information & updates on issues at each of the designated sites.

Ensure Training & Mandatory compliance is up to date
Ensure KPI's are being met
To liaise with Key stakeholders to ensure a high quality service.
Manage & develop the R&D Functions across various sites
To Manage staff sickness effectively per the Managing Attendance at Work policy
Prepared to Travel across all of the R&D Sites (A vehicle will be provided, or expenses reimbursed).
Actively Participate and Manage Meetings with Service providers, suppliers & stake holders.
Develop relationships with customers & stakeholders.
