Mencap is seeking passionate Support Workers to join our incredible team in Banbridge, Northern Ireland. As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs. From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, youll play a vital role in their life. What we're looking for: Someone who is caring and patient and has a genuine passion for supporting others. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities. Supporting people with their finances (paying bills, doing shopping etc.) You will actively be reducing social isolation by supporting to social groups & activities. Supporting with Personal care - helping people to get ready for the day. This will include support with medication and assisting with all aspects of personal care e.g. Showering and to use the bathroom. Using Positive Behaviour Support Strategies to help improve peoples quality of life. Contract options: Full-time: 37.5 hrs Part-time: Various hours available Shift times: All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas atleast 4 weeksin advance so you can still plan your personal and social life! Days: Between 07:45-22:30 AND Sleep-ins: 22:30-07:45 There is also a sleep-in available whereyou will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £63.70.
